Down to the wire and hanging by a thread.

For those who may not have heard, Egypt, and surrounding North Africa /  Middle East has been having internet problems for the last few days.  This has been a huge frustration.  Why is it that the super advanced communication network that everything in my life relies upon consist of measly underwater cables?  Don't we have radioactive laser satellites or something?
This is just silly.  I expect the world to be much more advanced.

According to Reuters, "Three Internet cables were cut off the coast of the Italian island of Sicily on Friday morning, the ministry said in a statement. The cause of the cut was not immediately known. Throughout Egypt, the Internet is almost completely down or working sporadically."

Of course I didn't know this because I didn't have the internet.   Needless to say, it was a very stressful couple of days.

As you can see from the map, a couple lines connect Egypt at the point of Alexandria on the Northern Mediterranean coast.

Thanks to a ship or an obnoxious person with a big pair of scissors, I was unable to submit one exam, and three papers by their deadlines.

Fortunately there is some degree of service at this time... just not in my house.

Anyway, those papers are now submitted and the semester is finished!
