I just received a Fulbright grant to move to Egypt in August 2008. I will be there for a year at the American University of Cairo to complete a post-grad diploma in forced migration and refugee studies. I will also be working with refugees through a local NGO. Ultimately, this should give me a major boost toward my goal of working as a shelter or project manager in emergency refugee and disaster relief (at least for a few years anyway).
Depending on my internet connection, I'm hoping to start making my blog more dynamic. After all, why go to art college if you can't amuse you family and friends?
So look forward to lots of material on Egypt - but with only the bare minimum of pyramids.
